I have had the esteemed pleasure of creating a logo for the uber- talented Stephanie Banka Lyngo, creator and designer of ilablu jewelry. Stephanie lives and works from her studio in Jamaica creating designs that evoke beauty, strength, femininity and intention.
We collaborated to pull all of the elements together to create a logo which would reflect her style of design and the intention behind her work. I wanted to represent the juxtaposition of jewels and metal, old and new, light and shadow. I was particularly inspired by Stephanie's stylistic signature links - the way they curve in an around each other and add weight to her design.
Stephanie suggested that I used the palette of copper and turquoise, which is perfect! The copper brings in the elements of the earth and the turquoise represents water - and by using two different customized fonts, I made the connection between all the elements.
In addition to her logo design and much need business card, I designed an "eco-friendly" gift certificate template. Stephanie, can print on demand or email it as a pdf. Pretty smart and good for the earth!
Stephanie will be expanding her brand presence with eco-friendly packaging, tags and blog and etsy banners.
