{lovely little notes}

It is the end of a long day and my arms are loaded down with groceries, a laptop, giant purse, a Hello Kitty backpack and a feisty five year old. After dropping the keys twice, I finally open the front door and immediately plop everything down on the kitchen table.  Sorting through the junk mail, bills and numerous catalogues I spot it ~ like a sparkling diamond. A beautiful pale blue, glittery envelope that is addressed to me and inside is a lovely note from one of my girlfriends. In today's high tech world to open my {real} mailbox and find such a delightful treat has become a rare occurrence. So, maybe next time instead of emailing, posting on facebook, tweeting or texting, I will take a cue from my dear friend and send a lovely little note instead.  {Hmmmm, when was the last time I bought stamps?}

A Dreamy Christmas

I went through my illustrations today in search of inspiration when I stumbled upon this very glamorous {and maybe a bit snooty} peacock; so I thought it would be fun to turn her into a lovely little Christmas card for my blog.   

{Happy Holidays}

With such beautiful colors to work with I decided to search around a bit and try to find something dreamy that would infuse a bit of holiday spirit and sparkle into this post.

 

Once I discovered this fabulous white flocked Christmas tree, adorned with cascading aqua ribbons and gorgeous glass baubles I knew I wanted to share it with you.  I love the traditional sterling silver urn filled with sparkling ornaments; it definitely adds a touch of elegance to this dreamy holiday space.
 

 

Finally, three dreamy holiday muses ~ lovely indeed!

Silvery damask wallpaper creates an elegant backdrop for the star of this glamorous room ~ this deliciously divine bed is the perfect place to catch up on some well deserved beauty sleep.
