Last night I was sitting on the couch with my daughter Olivia while she watched Cinderella for the 1000th time. Out of the corner of my eye I watched cute little birds singing, sewing and flitting about as I searched for a bit of inspiration for today's post. I was drawn to these beautiful vintage suitcases with their beautiful hardware and worn leather. I am very intrigued with the mystery behind their travels and I want to know who accompanied them, where they were going, and who were they visiting. I am also very curious to what treasured items were carefully packed inside as well. As you can see, my imagination go the best of me as I created these little collages.
To me, the creative process is a bit of a journey, at times it is an easy trip, and other times it seems as if you will never have another single idea - ever feel this way? Then that glorious moment when an image or idea will ignite a little spark and the creative journey will begin once again. Sometimes its just all about the process, from the initial glimmer of an idea to the end result.
I guess we never know where our little artistic expeditions will take us, but I love when I jump on board and just go with it, no expectations of a final destination.
